St. Barbara's Parish Bulletin - St. Barbara Slovenian Catholic Church - Springfield, Sangamon County, Illinois History

Pictured below is a bulletin I picked up at an antique store for St. Barbara's Parish. Also known as St. Barbara's Catholic Church or St. Barbara's Slovenian Catholic Church. A 1950 photograph of the actual building can be viewed here on The Illinois Digital Archives.

An interesting history of the church was posted at the Sangamon Link on 2 June 2015

This bulletin serves as a partial directory of some of those affiliated with the church in 1939 and I'll type out their names below for anyone who might perform a search for their ancestors. This bulletin was in a packet of belongings of one, Joseph ULCAR who emigrated from Slovenia as a young man and worked as a coal miner in Springfield.
