ANTIQUE EPHEMERA - TRACY, MOORE, MITCHUM, DURDEN
1/08/2022 06:30:00 AMI have a habit of purchasing antique ephemera with identification when I am out and about since I don't like the thought of them being destroyed. Here are just some in my ever growing collection that I would love to reunite with descendants.
Please contact me if they are your family members or of historical interest to your organization.
This is a note written by Seth M. MOORE, Justice and Commissioner for Precinct No. 4, Bend, San Saba County Texas. It's not known to whom it was addressed but the date on the letterhead suggest it was written in the 1880's and the topic is interesting. The note reads as follows:
"The people at Montvale want telephone connection with San Saba. The line from Lampasas to San Saba misses Montvale about 11 (or 1 1/?) miles. We think the line should be cut and turned into Montvale. Bend wants a telephone to Montvale ----. Can I do anything in the matter. - S. M. M."
