This is a lovely autograph album I picked up at an antique store last week. It's filled with short verses from friends and family of Faith Matilda Dailey. Faith was 12 years old when she received this book and on the first page is written a message from her. At 12 she had better cursive handwriting than most adults print handwriting these days (mine included). 

Faith was born 14 November 1889 in Saginaw County Michigan to Isadora Benton and Rollo Dailey. Faith's parents evidently hoped she would marry wealthy. They themselves were affluent. But Faith had other plans. On July 25, 1908 she eloped with Mordie Adam Mummert. Information on the elopement can be found in The Bay City Times (Saginaw, Michigan) 27 July 1908, page 4.

I have scanned the pages in order but you can see by the dated entries that people did not sign the book in order. I also did not scan blank pages.  Thank you and enjoy this beautiful piece of history!

Isadora was born 23 September 1863 in Michigan to Samuel BENTON and Elizabeth DEPEEL or DEPEL. She was 20 years old when she married Rolland Ethro DAILEY, 20 July 1883 in Frankfort, Benzie Co., MI. (An indexer typed 1886. A look at the official document clearly reads 1883).

She sometimes went by Dora and her husband went by Rollo. Rollo and Isadora had two known children: Faith Matilda Dailey and Rollo Ethro Dailey Jr.  Isadora died 2 January 1928 in Freeport, Brazoria Co., TX of a diabetic coma.

 I have scanned the pages in order but you can see by the dated entries that people did not sign the book in order. If you would like to full screen the book perhaps you can help me with some of the names therein. I put a question mark next to names I was having difficulty making out. This is a lovely little find I brought home from an antique store a few weeks ago. It's filled with short verses from friends and family of a girl named Charlotte. I have scanned the pages in order but you can see by the dated entries that people did not sign the book in order.

 I'm trying to determine who Charlotte may be based on names of cousins, friends, and teachers and the place of entries: Jennings, MO, Erfurt Germany and Berlin Germany. Some of the entries are written in German. If you want to help me do some sleuthing to figure out who Charlotte is I gladly welcome it. First and last names written inside are:
