Pictured is a Sigma Alpha Iota Formal Rush Dinner Booklet for Fort Hays Kansas State College, now known as Fort Hays State University. It was held at the Lamer Hotel in Salina Kansas on Saturday Sep. 16, 1939. My husbands Grandmother Mildred George was in attendance.

THINGS EVERY RUSHEE SHOULD NOW ABOUT SIGMA ALPHA IOTA
Sigma Alpha Iota is a National Music Fraternity whose aim is to promote musical and scholastic proficiency. 
Sigma Alpha Iota is the only Greek organization on our campus that is found in universities and colleges other than teachers colleges. All other organizations on the campus are national only in teachers colleges. 
Sigma Alpha Iota has sixty-four chapters with chapters located in leading uiversities and conservatories in America, such as Northwestern, Columbia, Juilliard Oberlin Conservatory, and Ann Arbor

EXPENSES OF SIGMA ALPHA IOTA
Initiation fee into Sigma Alpha Iota is thirty dollars. Pledges pay no dues. However, upon pledging they pay a pledge fee of four dollars and pay a dollar monthly, all of which is deducted from the thirty dollar initiation fee so the immediate cost of initiation is not so great.
