Texas Live Stock and Agricultural Journal. Vol. I No. 1. Saint Jo, Texas, January 15, 1892
7/31/2021 06:00:00 AMAsk any U.S. researching genealogist and they'll probably say that the loss of the 1890 U.S. Census was one of the most devastating events in history. 😆 It's been endlessly frustrating to me being unable to easily track ancestors in between 1880-1900. There are city directories, church records and the like that can help fill in some of the gap, but they're not always easy to locate. That's partly why I was so excited to find this Texas Live Stock and Agricultural Journal published in 1892. Filled with advertisers and other names, I hope it might help someone who is searching, place their ancestor somewhere within that gap.

Possibilities in Texas: Six years ago Antonio FENOLIO, an Italian, settled six miles east of Montague, Texas. He purchased land on credit, living in an old adobe house. Now he has a comfortable dwelling, outbuildings, a farm in a high state of cultivation, an orchard of apples, pears, peach and plum tree, besides a vineyard of five acres, containing eleven different varieties of grapes, from which, last season he made fifty barrels of wine.
